Stunning animals is recognised as the most humane method to ensure the utmost respect for them. Scandinavian animal welfare laws are reviewed constantly in line with the latest research to ensure that no animal suffers.

In the UK, stunning animals before slaughter is not always the case, and when stunning is used, it’s often by electric shock which is less humane than the process followed in Scandinavia. Due to the standards followed in Scandinavia, we can say our protein is Halal. Under Islamic law, animals that are reared for meat or meat bi products must be treated with the utmost respect during their lives and blessed before they are slaughtered.
