It's a tiny, butterfly-shaped gland located right at the base of your neck, or just below your Adam's apple. Super small, super mighty!
Your thyroid is basically your body's master metabolism controller. It produces hormones (T3 and T4,) that tell practically every cell in your body how fast to work. Think of it as the thermostat for your entire internal engine, regulating everything from your energy levels and body temperature to your digestion and heart rate.
You may be suffering from low mood and poor concentration, have cold hands and feet, fibromyalgia, be hungry in the evenings despite eating a good meal, have compromised sleep (waking between 1–3am and having difficulty returning to sleep). Also, a particular indication is the loss of the outer third of your eyebrows.
Hypothyroidism is just the fancy medical term for an underactive thyroid. It simply means your thyroid gland isn't producing enough of those crucial hormones. When hormone levels dip, your body's processes slow down, and that's when things can start to feel a bit... off.
If your thyroid is slacking, your body definitely lets you know!
Energy Levels plummeted? Unexplained weight gain, or simply can’t shift it? Brain Fog or feeling chilly? Dry everything - skin, hair, nails? Mood swings taking over? Digestive drama?
If these sound familiar, it's worth a chat with your doctor!

Iodine Deficiency: If you don't get enough iodine, your thyroid struggles. It's like trying to bake a cake without flour – it just won't work! This can directly lead to an underactive thyroid and hypothyroidism.
Iodine Benefits: When you give your body enough iodine, you're giving your thyroid the vital building blocks it needs to produce T3 and T4, ensuring it can keep your metabolism humming along nicely. It's crucial for general thyroid health and function!

Lifesaver
I have suffered with hypothyroidism now for 20 years and it’s put a huge stain on my daily and sometimes family life. Over the years the doctors have upped my medication but for the last 4 years ive been told my levels are ok.
My body was telling me different and I had tried everything but to no avail 😢😢
I started taking these last year and I have never felt better xx I take 1 a day every day but then 2 in the 7/10 days of my menstrual cycle as that’s when I’m at my worse.
I now have more energy to enjoy my grandchildren and no longer want to sleep all day.
