How to use

Mix two heaped tablespoons (approx. 35g) or two large WillPowders scoops with 300ml water or milk. 

Shake well and consume after exercise or anytime you need a protein boost.

Use whenever it fits your routine.

  • Beef Bone Broth

    Beef Bone Broth is rich in protein and is a source of amino acids such as glycine and proline. These support collagen synthesis and may therefore support skin and joint health. The amino acids also have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects (see Glycine for more information).

  • Egg White Protein

    Egg White Protein is a wholefood source of amino acids and rich in leucine, which is known to trigger muscle protein synthesis (MPS). It is classed as a complete protein and is known to be a clean, high-protein source. Egg white is also naturally rich in L-leucine.

  • L-Leucine

    L-Leucine is known to act as a trigger for muscle protein synthesis (MSP), when a full amino acid profile is present. Research suggests 2-3g of leucine is needed to trigger MPS. We have added 5g of leucine per serving to ensure leucine content is sufficient.

  • Vitamin C from Acerola Cherry

    Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of bones and cartilage. It also contributes to the normal function of the immune system and contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

  • MCT (Medium Chain Triglycerides) Powder

    Medium chain triglycerides are involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates and lipids. They may improve memory function and increase satiety and reduce calorie consumption.

    Why did we use bone broth protein?

    We chose bone broth protein for its distinctive amino acid profile and provenance. Made from bone broth sourced from pasture-raised, grass-fed cattle, it brings a different protein source to the formula alongside egg white protein.

    Bone broth is naturally high in glycine, proline and hydroxyproline which are the amino acids that make up collagen. Collagen is a major structural protein present in cartilage, tendons, skin, ligaments, bones. 

    All of these tissues are placed under high stress during exercise, especially high impact exercise like running. 

    Bone broth is also an established ingredient within the WillPowders product range and sits well within our ancestral positioning.

    Why did we use egg white protein?

    Egg white is included in the formula as another wholefoods source of essential amino acids, classed as a complete protein and carries the benefit of being widely recognised as a clean, high protein source, especially in gym goer and bodybuilding world. 

    It’s also worth noting that egg white is naturally rich in leucine.

    Why did we use leucine?

    Leucine is an essential amino acid and one of the building blocks of protein. We include it as part of the formula's considered amino acid profile, alongside our whole-food protein sources.

    Leucine has long been known to act as a trigger for muscle protein synthesis (MPS) i.e. building muscle, when a full essential amino acid profile is present.

    Research suggests that 2-3g of leucine is needed to trigger MPS, although this varies depending on age, body size etc. 

    We have added 5g of leucine per serving to ensure leucine content is sufficient.

    Why not whey?

    Whey is naturally rich in essential amino acids (the ones the body can’t make by itself, they must come from the diet) and leucine, which is the amino acid that plays a key role in muscle protein synthesis (MPS). 

    This makes whey a great protein source for supporting muscle growth and recovery. The trade off is that it can cause digestive discomfort in some people, and there is some emerging evidence around whey and its potential link to acne and gut microbiome dysbiosis. 

    It also contains relatively low amounts of collagen specific amino acids like glycine and hydroxyproline.
