18 months ago to now ...
I rarely allowed photos back then because of the way I looked and felt. Two years of my life were taken over by my weight gain (I had never been overweight in my life before perimenopause hit me). I ached, I was out of breath, and I couldn't function mentally or physically. I was overweight, bloated, and unhappy. My face looked like a pufferfish.
I'm so glad I'm not that woman anymore and that I found WillPowders and Davinia Taylor's books. Cutting out sugar, alcohol, and UPF was the start of something amazing. With the help of collagen, MCT Keto Powder and Protein Powder, I've been fasting five days a week (an average of 18 hours) but not starving myself; I'm listening to my body and understanding the difference between wanting to eat and needing to eat, and I'm moving every day. Knowing how and when to rest is the most important part of my journey.
My journey is not over; it's a lifetime commitment, and who knows what the future will bring, but for now, I'm happier, healthier, and living the life that I missed out on when I was that woman (the pufferfish woman). Never look back!
