Fully Certified with the Halal Certification Organisation - even our packaging!
WillPowder’s Halal Bovine Collagen and packaging is fully certified with the Halal Certification Organisation and is a great source of protein for those looking to boost their health and overall wellness in accordance with their beliefs. This type of collagen is sourced from cattle that have been slaughtered in accordance with Islamic dietary laws, making it ideal for individuals who follow the Islamic religion.
Collagen makes up a third of all protein in the human body. It is important for connective tissue in joints and skin, bone and cartilage. Collagen comprises amino acids, particularly abundant in proline, glycine and hydroxyproline. These amino acids have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.
Collagen supplementation has been found to reduce skin aging, with a positive effect on wrinkle reduction, skin elasticity and hydration. It also has promising effects on dermal density and wound healing.
Collagen is said to be the “glue” that holds our bodies together. In our youth, our body produces all the collagen it needs, allowing for firm skin, supple joints, and strong bones. However, production levels start decreasing after you turn 30, gradually leading to physical signs of older-looking skin, thinner hair, brittle nails, stiff joints, and slower recovery from physical activity. In addition, the reduction in collagen results in hormonal changes, as well as increasing the negative effects of drugs and alcohol, consumption of hydrogenated oils, sugars, and processed foods, exposure to chemicals and radiation, and stress. Therefore, supplementing daily with a high-quality collagen supplement is a steadfast way to get ahead of the most common signs of ageing.
As we age, not only does collagen change in our body, becoming disorganised in its composition, we also produce enzymes that degrade it. This can lead to some of the physical signs we associate with aging: wrinkles, thinning, loss of elasticity and reduced hydration.
In an ideal world, we would be getting doses of collagen from our diets. Collagen is abundantly found in animal connective tissue, skin, bones and cartilage (especially in bovine—cow collagen); however, we rarely consume adequate amounts of these sources.
Beyond this, the amino acids have other beneficial effects. For example, glycine is an inhibitory neurotransmitter and when taken orally, is believed to have a role in central nervous system transmission. There is some evidence that it may improve sleep and have cardioprotective properties due to its effect on lipid metabolism.
You can spread out your servings of Collagen Peptides throughout the day. We would recommend 10-15g per day. If you are in training (maybe for a marathon) or peri-menopausal you may benefit from up to 30g per day.
Add 1 heaped tablespoon (10g) to 200ml water, juices, or sauces daily. This can be split into multiple smaller servings if desired.
Do not use if seal is broken. Store in a cool dry place. Keep out of sight and reach of children
May improve skin health when consumed every day as part of a healthy and varied diet. This is a food and should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. Do not exceed the stated recommended dose. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking medication under medical supervision, consult a doctor before using.
Not suitable for vegetarians or vegans.

FAQs
If you take between 2-5g this isn't enough to kick off your metabolism and break your fast.
Spread out servings of Collagen Peptides throughout the day. We would recommend 10-15g per day, split over 2 portions. If you are in training (maybe for a marathon???) or peri-menopausal you may benefit from up to 30g per day.
There are 18 amino acids in bovine collagen, 3 key amino acids that lends the majority of the benefits: glycine, proline, and hydroxyproline. These 3 amino acids are highly important building blocks of collagen, tendons, and ligaments. They have also been shown to support health in a number of other ways, such as promoting normal inflammatory processes and supporting immune function. Our collagen includes: Alanine, Arginine, Asparagine, Cysteine Traces, Glutamine, Glycine, Histidine, Hydroxylysine, Hydroxyproline, Valine, Isoleucine, Threonine, Serine, Proline, Phenylalanine, Methionine, Lysine, Leucine and Tyrosine.
It’s 100% collagen. So, if you have 5g, it’s 5g of collagen (5,000mg). Our 400g bag = 400g of collagen.
After 3 weeks of consistently taking Collagen Peptides, your nails and hair may be stronger and your skin brighter - but it does depend on your lifestyle and obviously everything else you put in to your body has an impact on the effectiveness.
YES. Our Halal Collagen is fully certified with the Halal Certification Organisation. This includes every part of the process - the collagen, the manufacturer, the packaging facility and the packaging.

I love the willpowders collagen and have it every morning in my coffee with MCT powder. I've tried a few other brands and this is Mt favourite for price and ability to mix. My nails are definitely stronger since taking it and love that it doesn't break your fast. I have taken the sachets along to festivals and on holidays - they're so handy and resilient when squashed in bags etc - no breakages!

I really rate this powder. As described, it doesn't taste anything, and I have it in my cup of tea 2 x small scoops. My nails have gone stronger. It's full of protein have put it on pasta sauces and also my protein shakes, even the ones I make for my son. I will continue to buy. Also you get loads so I think it's worth the money.
